Arrival – 16:00

We ask that guests arrive at the venue around 16:00. This will give you a chance to settle into your accommodation and have a wander around the venue grounds.

Ceremony – 16:30

The ceremony will take place at 16:30 outdoors (weather dependent) so please wear appropriate clothes for hot weather!

Followed by Champagne, Cake & Photos!

Dinner – 19:00

A modern Latvian dinner; something for everybody!

Party! – 21:00

A mix of drinks, entertainment, music, and dancing!

Midnight Ceremony – 23:00

A little Latvian Pagan tradition experience

Transport – 01:15

Transfer for those not staying at the venue.

Breakfast – 10:30

Catch up over coffee and breakfast

Checkout – 12:00

Travel back to Riga Center.

We’ve tried to answer as many questions below, but do feel free to get in touch if you need any help or advice in making arrangements.

Our wedding will take place at Villa Bēršas, a romantic property nestled in the picturesque national park of Sigulda. The venue offers accommodation and breakfast for those staying with us.

Dress to impress! Keep in mind that Latvian summers can regularly top 30 degrees! Think natural colours, pastels, baby blue skies

The whole family is invited, but we will let you decide if you’d like to bring children or not! Since flying the whole family out may cost a bit, and our wedding is taking place during school term time, we’ll understand if they can’t make it.

We shall be serving Latvian inspired foods throughout the event. Chef and his team will be looking after us and bringing to our tables a variety of foods and tastes you can choose as you please suitable for everyone. Should you have any dietary requirements, please let us know in your RSVP so that we can ensure you are sufficiently fed and watered!

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for, but should you wish to honour us with a gift, as we’re restricted by baggage allowances on the way back to the UK, we’d ask that you don’t gift liquids or bulky items. We’re currently saving for our dream honeymoon, so any monetary gifts would be greatly appreciated.

The venue has accommodation for all guests, but it’s a little different than most of our UK guests will be used to.

The venue offers in true friendly Latvian-style wedding 2 rooms, one consisting of 10 beds, and a second of 28 beds. There is also a limited number of 2 to 3-bed guest rooms available which we will be prioritising for older couples and families with young children that might want to go to bed sooner. We will try and accommodate everyone as much as possible. We understand that not everyone will be comfortable with the arrangements so should you wish to book a different accommodation as an alternative this hotel is a few minute’s walk from the venue so you can return in the morning for breakfast. For those unable to stay overnight there will also be a shuttle bus available departing the venue back to Riga center around 1:15.

We can recommend some lovely hotels in and around the Old Town if you need any recommendations.

The venue is around an hours drive from central Riga in the beautiful national park of Sigulda. We shall be putting in place a shuttle bus to collect guests from a central area in Riga and get everyone to the venue and back. Please note that Taxis / Bolt / Ubers are limited in Sigulda area.

We understand that you may wish to take photos during the day. This is absolutely fine, but would ask you not to take photos during the ceremony or share them on social media.

There’s lots to see and do in Riga! We’re happy to recommend things to do on either side of our wedding and would love to show you around whilst you’re there!
